I love a good challenge. I don’t know if this is the teacher in me or the English major, but I can’t resist opportunities for interaction.
Good writing rarely happens in a vacuum – I used to tell my students that good writing is always the direct result of good thinking and good editing. And thinking can certainly often be a team sport. This first challenge is for the poem under the first Dia de los Muertos picture (the poem is called A Break in the Headstone). Some people who read it think it ends too soon. So here’s my challenge: extend it. But maintain the echo poem format. Post your extension in the comments. Aaaannndddd go!
